Parafriendly Taekwondo

Para-Taekwondo is an adaptation of the sport of Taekwondo for athletes with an impairment. 

​

Taekwondo fighters are divided into multiple sport classes depending on the nature and degree of impairment. 

​

At the Pinoy Taekwondo Center, the classes will only be open only on Fridays, once a week, from 10AM – 12PM.

​

  • Classes include several categories under 2 types (Koreogi & Poomse).

  • Koreogi (K) means Sparring

  • Poomse (P) means Forms

​

CLASSES:

Classes/Categories to choose from:

  1. P10 – includes athletes with Vision Impairment

  2. P20 – includes athletes with Intellectual Impairment

  3. P30 – includes athletes with Neurological Impairment

  4. P40 – includes athletes with Physical Disabilities (Forms)

  5. K40 - includes athletes with Physical Disabilities (Sparring)

  6. P50 - includes athletes using Wheelchairs

  7. P60 - includes athletes with Hearing Impairments (Forms)

  8. K60 - includes athletes with Hearing Impairments (Sparring)

  9. P70 - includes athletes with Dwarfism
